I created this party for my daughter's 6th birthday.
She has a real passion for ballet so the theme for her party came to us very naturally !
There was obviously going to be a lot of pink and I decided to add accents of yellow.

We transformed our conservatory into a ballet studio where my daughter and her guests enjoyed a private ballet lesson. I set up a little treat station there for the girls to enjoy pop corn and ballet (chocolate) bars during their lesson !

I really wanted to carry on the ballet studio theme to the dessert table and so decided to have a big mirror and a ballet bar in the display. The mirror was a fantastic ebay buy that I painted and distressed and my husband made the ballet bar.
Treats on the table included ballet buns (tea cakes), ballet shoe cookies (homemade), sweets, lemon and angel slices, as well as a homemade chocolate mud birthday cake topped with a fondant ballerina.

Finally at the lunch table, each girl had her own mini cupcake stand (tutorial: http://www.thatcutelittlecake.com/2012/09/craft-diy-mini-cupcake-stands.html ) with a vanilla cupcake, complete with a tutu cupcake topper ( tutorial: http://www.thatcutelittlecake.com/2012/05/ballerina-party-tutu-cupcake-topper.html ). The girls loved those stands !
