Football season is under way! What a way to celebrate the fall season, football and a future little quarterback than with a backyard football bash. This party was so simple, super fun and can easily be used for tailgating, game day celebrations or the Superbowl.
Rebekah of A Blissful Nest designed a collection of printables focusing on footballs, stripes and the traditional coloes of brown, grass green and yellow. That we we kept it simple and focused away from any team colors while still making the table "pop".
We first placed down a piece of artificial grass we picked up at our local hardware store. We had it cut to the size of our table and it really is an inexpensive way to add an authenticity to the whole football theme. I think the piece literally cost about $5! The focal point of our table was a goal post my husband actually made out of PVC pipes. Again, from the hardware store and super, super cheap!
For the sweet treats, we served popcorn in paper cones (part of the collection designed by A Blissful Nest), simple vanilla cupcakes from the local grocery store, pretzels (we served in snack cups from Target for $2) and delish football theme cookies and cake pops from Fun Favors. I Have A Favor sent personalized football themed water bottles for all our guests to use during the party and served as their party favor later.
The kids truly had a blast playing catch in the backyard, even my daughter who was the little cheerleader! What a way to welcome fall and football season. Go team go!
