Hostess With The Mostess

I wanted a fun, girly, and unique theme for my daughter Nadia's first birthday party.  I considered a few but kept coming back to a circus/carnival theme.  I loved the idea of games, prizes, and carnival food.  I really wanted to use the classic Circus colors of red and blue, but with a twist.  I ended up choosing aqua, red, and pink for my color scheme.  The party was rustic but with modern touches.  My favorite part was the hand drawn elephant backdrops, the many carnival themed snacks (popcorn, pretzels, peanuts, sausage, nachos, etc), the cake cutting backdrop, and her aqua blue high chair.  The party included a lot of DIY and inexpensive items to keep it to a reasonable budget.  I shopped at the Dollar Tree a lot!  I had such fun bringing my vision to life and I hope you'll find something here that inspires you!
