Spring in one of my favorite seasons. I hate the cold, so the warmer spring days, the chirping birds, the buzzing bees and scents and colors of the season make me feel all poetic and oh-so inspired! :)

Hopefully these ideas will show you don't need much time nor a huge budget to create something pretty and welcoming for your family and guests this Easter!

I styled and photographed this tablescape early March for Bird's Party EZINE Spring Issue, and it was a fun, very sweet and totally frugal project inspired by Spring itself, and the humble Daisy!

I recycled, re-purposed and rummaged through my home and (garden shed) to gather all the props to create a fresh, white and yellow, Daisy Inspired, Spring in The Country tablescape.

Old egg carton boxes painted in yellow make a cute "cupcake stand" for vanilla bean cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, decorated with edible Mimosa flowers (and daisies from my garden).

Egg shaped candles, birdhouses and cute ceramic birdies  (from my equivalent of the dollar store) complete the look! All milk glass tableware and candle sticks are charity shop finds - Man, I love charity shops!! I feel all wholesome and sneaky when I find a good bargain - AND the proceeds go to a good cause - Double whammy! :)

And off course, in my opinion nothing beats fresh fruit and flowers to give a table a really fresh, spring look!

I also always keep empty, wooden vegetable boxes (the ones that come from a market), and with a lick of paint their are ready to carry items to and from the table, and also act as a whimsical centerpiece when filled with lanterns and fresh flowers!

Vintage lemonade bottles re-purposed as vases are always a must for me. For the country look tie a scrap of fabric to the bottle neck. I always get inquiries about where I get my bottles from. You can get them from vintage stores, flea markets and charity shop or buy new online here or here.
