Hostess With The Mostess

THEME

The mommy-to-be's favorite color was yellow and once she found out she was having a boy, we added gray into the equation and went with an argyle and seersucker little man themed baby shower.

DECORATIONS

Yellow and gray pashmina scarves were used as table runners on the white linen table clothes. Vases with yellow and white lilies were placed on each table as the centerpiece. Along with the centerpiece, disposable cameras and mustache photo props were placed on the tables for guests to pass around to take pictures. At each place setting were alternating gray and yellow plates with plain white treat boxes on top. Each treat box served as a party "survival" kit for each guest, also known as "My Stache". Each box included a set of cutlery, a napkin, one mustache straw, 3 customized game cards, a packet of M&M's that matched the shower colors (used as Bingo chips), and a pen. Various items such as the game cards, food tent cards, treat bags, and napkins, brought together the argyle and seersucker patterns used.

FOOD/DRINKS

A delicious buffet of appetizers was served which included, sandwiches, mini quiche, meatballs, cheese and meat dip, and a vegetable and fruit tray. Drinks included lemonade and iced tea, along with customized water bottles.

FAVORS

Each guest received a treat bag filled with a cookie as a favor.
