Teen Girls Christmas Party (23 photos)
I hosted an after-Christmas party with some of my girlfriends :) All the printables, including the invitation, were from this link: FREE Christmas Party Printable from Love the Day | Catch My Party
For decor, I bought pink and green tablecloths. With the printables, I made a bunting banner, cupcake toppers, Christmas tree ornaments, and game winner badges. I also used paper plates and ribbon to make cookie plates for the guests to take home their cookies and any other goodies they wanted. The napkin rings were made from paper towel tubes, puzzle pieces, paint, and hot glue. I made extra puzzle piece snowflakes that I used as tree ornaments.
For food, we had kettlecorn, cheese and cracker trays, a vegetable tray with dip, cupcakes, assorted nuts, and holiday M&Ms. On each table was a tray of ribbon candy, as well as cookies, frosting, and sprinkles for the cookie decorating contest. Beverages served included lime green punch and a hot chocolate bar, which unfortunately I did not get a photo of. It included both milk and white crockpot hot chocolate, with miniature chocolate chips, miniature marshmallows, crushed candy canes, holiday sprinkles, and whipped cream for topping choices.
The activities included a White Elephant gift exchange for which I wrote numbers on the printable ornaments and then labeled each gift with a Sharpie as guests arrived. This was followed by a twenty-question trivia game adapted from the Quizmas book by Gordon Pape; the winner of this game received a purse-sized organizer/notebook. Our third game was Christmas charades - which was probably the most fun! - and the guest who correctly guessed the most actions received a hanging candle stand. Between the second and third game, guests voted on the best-decorated cookies, which we decorated at the beginning of the party, and the winner by unanimous vote received a White Christmas Yankee candle.
