Hostess With The Mostess

Mom was recently attending a wedding on the other side of the state and when talking with her close friend and Mother of the Bride, Peggy - she volunteered to put together and decorate the bird cage Peggy was planning to use for the wedding card holder.

Naturally, Alisha and I were called into duty and though I wasn't much help (it was the day after my hunting/hand accident and I was a little out of it), I think it turned out beautifully! The wedding theme included purples, burlap, lace, and a little rustic twist.

After a lot of discussion, drafts, mock-ups, and ideas, we decided to keep it simple, but gorgeous - of course. Alisha put her sewing skills to work attaching the purple ribbon to the burlap.

Mom arranged the wooden flower with ribbon and lace. What did I do? Supervise, take ibuprofen, and I wrote on the tag Alisha cut out with her Cricut. Come on people, I was hurt - give a girl a break! :)
