One of my dearest friends whom I have known since Kindergarten is getting hitched this summer and we knew we needed to throw her a beautiful bridal shower. Over Memorial Day Weekend, the hostess crew (myself, Donna (my mother), Christine (bride's sister & MOH), & Jo  (bride's aunt)) pulled together a Garden Breakfast Bridal Shower to honor our lovely bride: Patricia. The colors for her wedding are purples and grays and we wanted to pull from that, but include colorful and lovely garden-inspired touches. Of course we used Pinterest to pull our inspiration together and now that the party is complete, we have even uploaded a few photos of our own. You can view our Breakfast Bridal Shower Pinterest Board here: We had hoped to originally have the party outside, but the weather was against us and the rain put us inside. We had a Plan B!

With a mimosa bar complete with champagne, lime juice, orange juice, and raspberry lemonade - we also had coffee and iced tea for guests to enjoy with their breakfast. To garnish the mimosa beverages, we had citrus wedges and frozen berry skewers that were simply delicious!

The menu included many homemade breakfast items - fruit pastries, coffee cake muffins, sausages, bacon and spinach quiche, country sausage quiche, and layered fruit martinis. Once the gifts were opened, we also enjoyed a homemade lemon cheesecake with blueberry compote as "dessert". Antique family plates from the brides family were used and all glassware is from the Mikasa Cheers collection. My mother (Donna) and I both have the same glassware so we can bring it together in large quantities for parties!

Activities for the shower included toilet paper brides which is always a great way to get to know the other guests a bit better. We also completed "Shower Libs" during the TP Brides activity set-up where guests filled in the blanks to give well-wishes to Patricia & Bryan. Shower Libs were purchased from Cami's Paperie on Etsy:

A re-purposed cabinet door (tutorial available) turned chalkboard welcomed guests to the bridal shower with an antique crock filled with purple irises. Inside decor included handmade placemats (which would have been used in the sit-down breakfast outside if the weather would have cooperated). We used the placemats at the mimosa bar, with the floral arrangements, at the buffet table, and the gift table. Flowers were a gorgeous variety of purples and greens with a few touches of pink and white. Some flowers were purchased while others were straight out of the garden! Several small arrangements filled the party area while one large arrangement was the centerpiece for the buffet table.

Frames holding free printables stating "B Loves P" were located at the mimosa bar and buffet table. Free printables from Wedding Chicks: A large picket-fence screen strung with purple ribbon held engagement photos of the bride and groom for guests to admire and to take home at the end of the shower.

In addition to the photos of the bride and groom for guests to take home, we had homemade blackberry jam in various mason jars tied with purple ribbon and a cardstock matted "Spread the Love: Patricia & Bryan" tag attached to each. the "Spread the Love" tags were purchased from Wedding Paper Divas:

Invitations were purchased from Wedding Paper Divas: Signature White Textured Bridal Shower Invitations Painted Garden : Velvet Rope:
