Inspired by Dylan's Candy Bar, I created a birthday party celebrating something my daughter (and all kids) love...CANDY!  I created a "candy bar" buffet surrounded by all the candy my daughter loves the most.  I purchased plain white paper treat bags on etsy and customized them with the logo I created for guests to fill with candy.  I created candy topiaries using styrofoam forms covered in candy bars, gummy rings, and gumdrops.  Lollipop centerpieces adorned the tables.  Paper lanterns were wrapped in celophane to create giant candies hanging from the ceiling.  I used the 'Dylan's Candy Bar" logo to welcome our guests and as inspiration for the circle garlands I created using construction paper.  The children created their own candy neclaces using gummy savers, fruit loops, and rainbow twizzlers cut into sections.  I made the birthday girl and myself gumball necklaces for the party.  Kids got to punch a "candy dot" in the candy dot punch board I created using extra large foam core boards, paper lunch bags, and tissue paper.  There were "candy cocktails" for the grown ups (lemon drop, rock candy cocktail, and jolly rancher).  I purchased the cakes from a local grocery store and stacked and decorated them myself with candy dots, candy sticks and unicorn pops.  I purchased lollipop candles for the top.  I created a photo booth by using a PVP pipe frame with inexpensive tablecloths hung from it.  I purchased some props on etsy and created some signs of my own.  It was a great day!
