  • image description

I would love to know the website and name of the store where you are selling your paper goods for this party. I love it and want to do the same for my little boys 1st birthday. Thanks.

Inspired by my son's newborn photoshoot, from a backdrop of maps and paper airplanes.  Used plain 8.5 x 11 maps bought off of Etsy, printed on plain ol copy paper, and pieced together for the backdrop for the drinks table.  Paper airplanes were made from using the same maps, and hung on a sting across the dessert table.

Dessert table - In-Flight pretzle snacks were put into a plastic bag and topped with a homemade topper and stapled shut.  I made all the paper products, including food container label, food cards, water bottle labels, etc..  Which I will offer in a store shortly.  The cake was homemade, and only used for a smash cake.  The guests feasted on donuts, cupcakes and sugar cookies instead of cake this time around.  That was a first for me.  But by the time we get to the cake, no one usually is interested in cake.  The Rice Krispie Treats on a stick were a hit!  And simple!  Just buy the individually wrapped bars from Costco.  Unwrap them, and stick a popicle stick in them, and the kids go bonkers for them!

Food service was light for it was a mid afternoon party.  Served just like it would have been on an airplane, in plastic containers bought at Smart and Final.  With utentsils and a napkin wraped in plastic, again, just like you would recieve on an airplane.

Vintage metal model airplanes came from my boy's bedroom, which I bought at Homegoods a little while back.

We got a Balloon Twister Artist to come out for an hour to enterain the kids along with a bounce house.  This is our baby, so there were more older kdis than babies in attendance.

Favor Bags were filled with a power bar, fruit by the foot, Rice Krispie Treats, and a candy bar.  I usually don't do favor bags since the kids get so much sugar from the dessert table, but the baggage claim idea was too cute to pass up.  The bags for the babies consisted of a container of Puffs.  Age appropiate favors are a must in my book!

While I was making the invitaitons, I added the theme of "Time Flies" throughout the party decor.  Adding in photos from his newborn and one year photos sessions that inspired this theme.
