Black, white, and swirling in perfection. The Schoen wedding on Saturday, July 2, 2011 was the ideal, playful, and elegant affair to attend over the 4th of July weekend. The bride fell in love with an ornate black and white runner and incorporated the design into her ceremony, guest book, place cards, guest tables, and cake. Once the runner was paired with a black tablecloth, red votives, black napkins, and red centerpieces it provided just enough flair and character.

The ceremony site was adorned with four giant rose ball arrangements that framed the altar and processional line. Exactly 250 roses were used to create each ceremony arrangement! Enchanting Blooms did a spectacular job creating the arrangements and lining the aisle with white rose petals that swirled around the arrangements. In total a 1,000 roses were used to create Kristen and Jason’s wedding.

Following the ceremony, guests entered the main ballroom where they listened to the musical stylings of John Mayer provided by DJ Bryan Thrane (who had a slight resemblance to the singer) as they dined on appetizers and refreshing cocktails. As guests waited for the bride and groom’s grand entrance they were asked to pose in front of a multi colored lip photo wall that Kristen created. Each guest had their photo taken on instamatic film that was placed in the couple’s guest book where they could leave their warm wishes.

We loved the detail Kristen included in her place cards. Each place card had the guest’s last name and their first name hand written by Kristen on dangling ornamental hearts.

The vanilla cake was draped in cascading, lush, red, roses that made a shape reminiscent of a free-flowing gown. Included on the cake table were homemade biscotti and personalized red, white, and black M&M’s with the couple’s name and wedding date in mini martini glasses.

Blossoming rose buds were placed in small, white, square vases that complemented the swirling table runners perfectly. The centerpieces looked like miniature bouquets and provided just enough flair to the tables.
