Berries & Branches
Berries & Branches tabletop tips:
Berries, berries everywhere... For cute napkin rings, simple take individual branches from a red berry spray bunch and wrap them around rolled napkins. Because the “branches” are actually made of thin wrapped wire, it’s easy to bend them around the napkins and twist the ends together to form a circle. (Berry spray is available at most craft supply stores for about $2 each).
You can also incorporate berry spray into the centerpiece. Simply lay 2 or more branches lengthwise down the table on either side of the main centerpiece.
Get creative with gift wrap. The fun “tablerunner” pictured above is actually a sheet of modern gift wrap folded in half...and tiny coordinating gift enclosures worked perfectly as the placecards. (We used Snow & Graham’s “berries” gift wrap sheets and “cardinals” tiny cards - both of which are available at luxepaperie.com.)
Keep the dishware & utensils simple.
The berries bring a lot of detail to the table, so there’s no need for busy dishware patterns. We used lightweight & inexpensive silver chargers, simple white ceramic plates, and contemporary silver flatware. Stemless wine glasses pull double-duty as chic water glasses.
A few key pieces will make a hip & modern centerpiece.
To recreate the centerpiece above, take a few stemmed glass votives in varying heights and filled them half-way with opaque white candle gems (available at most craft or candle stores). The opaque white color is a fun departure from the typical translucent gems and gives the centerpiece a clean, modern feel. Add a few berry bunches and a short, sleek ceramic vase - such as the aqua vase pictured above - and that’s all you need to create a hip Berries & Branches-themed centerpiece!
