Coconut & Lime started as a place for Rachel to share her recipes with friends. Since 2004 it has grown to one of the top fifty food blogs in the world (according to MSN's Delight.com). It features 100% original recipes that were developed in Rachel's home kitchen.
There is a wide range of cuisines and foods represented on Coconut & Lime. On the blog you can find over 900 recipes ranging from authentic Indian curries to Korean dishes, traditional American favorites, luscious desserts, vegan, recipes for the grill, regional dishes, and homestyle Japanese food.
What sets Coconut & Lime apart from other food blogs is the focus on inventive, original recipes that are easy to recreate at home, but are a slightly out of the ordinary. Rachel Rappaport is a life long resident of Baltimore, Maryland. Her background is diverse-she has a BA in History with a focus in urban history from the University of Baltimore and MA in Education from UMBC- but her true love is food. She spends her time developing recipes for companies and her blog, giving cooking demonstrations, teaching cooking classes and writing about food for online and print publications. She also writes a bimonthly local and seasonal food column in Taste of the Bay magazine.
