geometric fox dessert table

Zoe’s got serious style already! Thetis Sardo of Little Sooti Events combined her daughter’s big personality with “Scandinavian Style” inspiration to produce this fashion-forward and super colorful Geometric Fox Party! I love how she used cool toys to add big pops of color to the dessert table – and to help fill it up without going overboard on the amount of desserts. As usual, Ham and Pea Design & Paperie totally nailed all of the paper details too!

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Thetis

This party was held for my 3 year old daughter Zoe. This truly reflects her personality and style. The party venue was Petit Atelier which is a kids art workshop and retail store in Prahran, Melbourne. The invitations and stationary were created by Ham and Pea Design & Paperie and she nailed my concept completely. I wanted it very simple and quirky.

The party area was kept simple with the kids table set up having only a black and white striped table runner, and some colour blocks in the centre. Hanging we had some handmade geometric shaped paper garlands which I love! Each child also had their own lunch box at their setting with a handmade fox mask which they absolutely loved! Kids ate a sandwich, a muesli bar, muffin, chips and a juice.

As part of the activities at Petit Atelier, the children each made their painted canvas with a cut out of the fox which is on the stationery. They loved making these and even more so painting it! Once they all finished there work of art’s we had story time, which keeping in theme the book read was “Hattie and the Fox”. The children had fun doing arts and crafts, storytime and then being 3 year olds they loved running around and chasing eachother.

As a feature to the party, I set up a dessert table in the party room. The amazing cake, cupcakes, and cookies were lovingly created by Helen of Kiss My Cakes. She worked wonders on that cake and it is absolutely one of my favourites so far. I am loving geometrics and block colours, lots of stripes at the moment and I wanted this to come out in this party, as it reflects the nordic style of contemporary design. The table kept simple as I wanted the colours to really pop. A black and white runner, white cake stands, a selection of colourful kids toys and some colour blocks really made this table pop! My favourite though, was the designed backdrop by Ham and Pea. I gave Li-Ann free reign with this and she knows my style completely so I trusted her to come up with something that would amaze and it certainly did.

Party favors given to the kids were muslin bags with the fox logo ironed on. I chose not to have “thank you” or any names on these as I wanted the kids to be able to re-use them later on. Inside the bags were some novelty toys, some lollies and stamps.

A fun party which truly reflects my style and I hope to do more parties like this for my own children and my clients.
