PARTY DETAILS, as told by Alexis

This styled shoot was inspired by ruffles, lace and the beautiful floral prints that make the most darling little girl dresses.  The daintiness of a tea party dressed in these textures would bring forward a delightful afternoon for four little princesses.

When we described our vision to Gretchen at Three Little Monkey Studio, she took our notes and created a custom printable set that set a lovely tone for our Tea Cups & Tutu’s styled shoot. I contacted my friend Tia of Tia’s Tutu’s who sent me four beautiful tutus in the colors we requested to match the color scheme of the shoot. We draped the tutus on vintage windows from Amazing Grace Vintage Rentals. Chiavari chairs were adorned with strips of gorgeous fabric and a lace covered table was set with a personalized place setting that included fruit punch in mason jar, cupcakes in beautiful vintage tea cups as well as tea sandwiches and meringues.  The mason jars were covered with daisy covers, striped straws with straw tags to match to the printables, and the lids closed with lace added a dainty feel to the usually casual jar.  An antique desk showcased sweet treats such as strawberry parfaits, cupcakes with fondant toppers from Sugar High Inc. that matched the printables, pink cake pops, pearl gum balls, and vanilla and chocolate cakes.

When the girls arrived they got to choose a tutu along with a boutique style headband and a gumball necklace before they joined the party. They danced, practiced ballet, and enjoyed their lunch and sweet treats! They loved their girly time together and had so much fun together.
