This Disney loving family knows how it’s done! For Kalia’s First Birthday, mommy (Kristine Atienza Photography) teamed up with Linsey Herrera of Lux Events and Design for a Girly Dumbo Inspired Circus Party that seriously melts my heart! I literally love every detail- from the fabulous faux ticket cake and pretty mint paper fan backdrop to the precious (and happy!) birthday girl pictures. It’s all SO CUTE. (Click here to see older sister Eva’s Small Word First Birthday!)

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Linsey

A Raffle ticket Faux Cake, Dumbo cookies, A train for the kids to ride, mini desserts, paper flowers, marshmallow peanuts and animal crackers were just part of the cuteness! I had the pleasure of planning Kalia’s 1st Birthday, Dumbo style! I did her older sister’s Eva’s a few years back, her party was the adorable It’s a Small World Party. The family loves Disney so it was only appropriate to do a Dumbo themed circus party! The party took place at Irvine Regional Park. They have an awesome set up with a train- you can’t have a dumbo party without a train! One of my favorite elements of this party was the dessert bar. I created a faux raffle ticket cake as the centerpiece by gluing raffle tickets to round hat boxes. To make the backdrop for the dessert bar I glued paper accordion fans to a thin piece of plywood. It is such a budget friendly idea that gives a big impact. I printed her name in a circus font on sticker paper and stuck the stickers to it. One of my other favorite elements were the favors for the kid! I purchased vintage looking popcorn and peanut bags from ETSY. Instead of using traditional popcorn, I used Pirate’s Booty as a healthier alternative. The kids got bubbles and animal crackers to take home too!
