custom superman party sign - wooden palette

There may be a slew of familiar-looking emblems flying around this party, but I think the real hero of Jett’s Rustic-Modern Superhero Birthday Party is the hefty dose of creativity and STYLE it brings!

Let’s start with the super awesome distressed wooden signs, shall we? Seriously L.O.V.E. the look of those… as well as the fact that they’re not something you see everyday when it comes to superhero birthday themes. Fresh ideas to the rescue! Then let’s talk about the cool superhero graphics and paper details from Posh Paperie, (which are also reflected in the design of those wooden palette signs). They add such a great, retro-mod vibe to everything from the food and drinks to the party favors… and you can now find them in the brand new Posh Paperie Etsy shop! Job well done, ladies. ;)

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

  • AWESOME homemade cityscape photo booth + comic-style superhero photo props
  • Custom distressed wooden palette signs painted with superhero emblems
  • Captain America inspired cake, cupcake toppers, macarons, and “We Need You!” napkins
  • Colorful honeycomb garland + personalized Superman and Batman pinatas

PARTY DETAILS as told by Jett’s mama

Jett is OBSESSED with all things superhero! This sweet 3 year old boy eats, sleeps, + breathes anything superhero so it was inevitable I wanted to create a fun party for him including all the superheroes – specifically Batman, Superman, and Captain America! The color palette was bold, bright colors – black, yellow, red, navy, and baby blue.

Elizabeth and Karrie with Posh Paperie are AMAZING!!! They created the perfect invitation my little superhero— a trifold of superhero emblems for Batman, Superman, and Captain America finished off and tied with a yellow ribbon. The Superhero emblems on the invitations were the focal point for everything designed regarding the other party pieces.

We had a Justice League double challenge jump house where Jett and his friends could run and jump with their favorite superheroes, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern, as they save their world in the open-top playground. Kids could crawl through obstacles with pop-ups and even break through a brick wall, superhero style! Whack Pinateria made the custom Batman piñata and also we had a balloon artist creating balloon creations requested by the kids at the party (this was a HUGE hit). After all the superheroes saved the day, we all cooled off with snow cones.

Party food included a hot dog station and Chick-fil-A (who doesn’t LOVE Chick-fil-A?!), assorted popcorn, an array of delicious desserts (cookies, cupcakes, and french macarons), and cake by Kay Palombo.

Each superhero received a superhero cape and mask, a Captain America shield with batman bubbles, personalized gumballs + lollipops.

I wanted this superhero party to be bold but with a rustic feel. I used galvanized buckets for personalized water bottles + juices and for storing the party favors. Food and desserts were displayed on rustic wooden platters. Custom signs and the photo booth were created using old wood pallets and painted + distressed to coordinate with the party theme.
I created honeycomb “banners” in the party color palette to bring in color.

This was such a fun party to create for my little Superhero!! He loved every minute of it and wants to do it again! Happy 3rd birthday, sweet boy!

Very cute – I had to comment because my 15year old’s name is Jett too and it’s so rare to see another. :)

For more than a hundred of superheroes to choose and their are more arising it really gives pressure to parents to pick what’s the best however superhero theme is totally cool, represents heroic and adventurous life.
