cinderella birthday party

I had the pleasure of meeting Jessebell of Dreamland Parties & Events earlier this year at BASH 2015, but I had know idea she had THIS on the other end of her magic wand! ;)

Her Modern & Magical Cinderella Party was inspired by the recent live action Disney movie (which is super cute btw!). Before it was even released in theaters, she collected inspiration from the movie’s promotional poster, rounded up some marvelous vendors, and turned into the fairy godmother of Cinderella parties! See all of the blue, gold, and glitter covered details that are fit for a princess (or two!) below.

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

  • Ruffled, quilted, & butterfly cake by Kima’s Konfections + “Once Upon A Time” gold topper by Paper + Pop
  • Gold carriage inspired dessert table + “Happily Ever After” decorative books
  • Candy apples embellished with blue satin ribbon bows
  • Custom birthday girl Cinderella letters + antique clock striking midnight!
  • Princess crown cupcake toppers, blue glittered bottles, and paper butterfly chairback details

PARTY DETAILS as told by Jessebell…

Who doesn’t love a classic fairytale?! I know I do! So when we found out Disney was going to be making a live action film based on the most classic and well known fairy tale of all time, Cinderella, we just had to make a party in honor of it! We had to wait until pictures of the movie were released to get a feel for the actual movie, and get some inspiration. When the pictures came out the first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful Golden Carriage that was designed and created just for this version of the tale. We decided to create our own version of the Golden Carriage and use that as our focal point in the dessert table.

Creating this custom table was no easy task but totally worth it at the end! Adding a special tough of magic was the custom wood wheels that we spray painted gold to match our carriage. We also went with a tulle table skirt to represent Cinderellas gorgeous dress from the movie. Also in the movie previews we noticed the beautiful butterflies that were incorporated in Cinderella’s dress, so we decided to add little shimmer butterflies delicately all around our design. From the backs of the gold Chiavari chairs to even our huge water jugs, there were butterflies everywhere!

The main cake table also featured a miniature golden carriage carrying a beautiful golden slipper, an antique clock tricking the midnight hour, a set of vintage golden books with the title “Once Upon a Time”, along with some custom letters created for us by Journee Parfaite “Perfect Day” Event Planning, and we can’t forget the amazing treats and cake made by Kima’s Konfections. Kima’s beautiful cake was topped off by a shimmery “Once Upon a Time” cake topper made by Paper + Pop, which we loved!

The kids table design was pulled together by some gorgeous printables made by Swish Printables. We were able to use the printables to add a special tough of magic and wonder to water bottles, the kids treat boxes, place cards, invitations, and the most awesome plates every created! We worked with a wonderful new company that creates custom plates with images that you can easily upload, Create UR Plate. The girls really loved seeing the golden carriage image on their plates!

We had an amazing time creating this party for the girls, almost as much as they enjoyed feeling like real princesses in their very own fairy tale!

I was really inspired by your dessert table. The pumpkin carriage is so beautiful and inspiring, can you please give me some tips of how I can create such a design.

Does anyone know how this table was made? I have seen a celebration arch that clamps to a table maybe that would work?
