PARTY DETAILS, as told by Juli…

***
Welcome Party Animals!

I loved styling this sweet yet glamorous pink and gold safari party for my animal-loving daughter, Quinn. The beautiful printables designed by Tali of a Party Studio provided a girly vibe to an often boyish party theme.

Dessert Table

The dessert table was a wonderful mix of girly ruffled pink, natural wood elements, and gold glitter detail.

The ruffled pink curtains provided an elegant yet uncluttered backdrop. Bamboo sticks gave it a natural touch, while Tali’s personalized jeep design in a golden whimsical frame added a bit of glamour.

At the center of the table was a simple white cake adorned with a small golden elephant atop buttercream petals. Flanking the cake were beautiful desserts displayed on stacked wooden crates.

The lovely Autumn of AutumnLynn’s Chocolate Sins created pretty pink and glitter chocolate-covered pretzels; cheetah inspired chocolate-covered Oreos, and giraffe-inspired chocolate lollipops in the shape of the number five for the birthday girl.

Michele of The Last Course Bakery’s sugar cookies were simply a work of art! The pink and gold glitter animal faces were detailed to perfection! Party guests loved the glittery lion paw cookie tracks that crossed the front of the table.

Activities

While the dessert table was fun to look at, the activities were the huge hit of the party!

Party guests grabbed their safari hats and worked together to follow the animal-inspired clues that took them all over the house until they found their treasures (safari animal Beanie Boos, of course!).

Another huge hit was a safari scavenger hunt. Armed with a list and burlap sack, the little explorers raced to collect the items that doubled as party favors. Tali also designed sweet Safari Passport coloring books that the kids enjoyed working on while waiting to devour the delicious desserts.

This party was a delight to create because it provided a sweet spin on a traditional theme.
