A Fruity & Modern Girl Power Party
Who wants an excuse to hang out with your favorite ladies, drink fun cocktails, and surround yourself with ridiculous amounts of girlie fun? *raises hand*
Same page? Awesome. Here’s one excuse: Galentine’s Day. (Thanks, Leslie Knope!) 😉
A Fruity & Modern Galentine’s Day
I’ve teamed up with Master of Mixes to share some new & creative ways to celebrate Galentine’s Day in style. But of course, most of these ideas work well for girlfriend get-togethers at ANY time of the year! I’m talking birthdays to girls’ nights to mimosa brunches & beyond. (I even think this theme would be SUPER cute for a girlie baby shower! 💕 I mean “Hey Girl” is pretty fitting there too. You could always swap out a mocktail bubbly bar for mom-to-be.)
Anyways, read on for colorful decorating ideas, simple cocktails (with a fruity twist!), and easy styling tips for your drink station. Then head over to Part 2, where you’ll find a super cute Fruity & Modern tablescape to match.
Here’s a little sneak peek of the matching table ideas in Part 2:
Signature Drinks
For the drink station, I wanted to offer some “themed” cocktails (and mocktails) but also keep things VERY simple so the drinks didn’t require a gazillion ingredients or steps.
I went with champagne, club soda, and one pre-mixed cocktail as the “base” for each drink + a variety of fruity mixers that guests could add themselves. The mixers were all fruit-infused syrups from Master of Mixes, made from premium blends of cane sugar and fresh fruit. I chose Strawberry, Peach, Raspberry, and Mango and loved how the bright colors on the bottles tied into the theme!
All the signature drinks were given fun names for the occasion, of course!
You can also customize the Signature Drinks Menu to make the drink names your own. I kinda love the idea of turning this theme into a fruit-inspired bridal shower or birthday party too… so maybe the “Be Mine Bellini” becomes a “Bridal Bliss” or “Birthday Girl Bellini” instead. 🥳
Garnishes for Galentines
Fun drinks also call for creative garnishes! Try adding a little *sugar* (as in CANDY!) to your champagne flutes, like jelly fruit slices and gummy lips. This is a Valentine’s Day party, after all. 😍
Drink flags on cute straws or stir sticks are another cute way to garnish your drinks. You’ll find “Be My Galentine” and “HEY GIRL” flags included in the printables too.
The Fruity Mule
The fruit-infused syrups are an easy way to give the traditional Moscow Mule a fruity *kick*. (pun intended) 😜 I couldn’t resist painting a toy mule figurine to match this drink idea… complete with a glitter-dipped lime!
To keep things easy, set out pre-mixed pitchers of Moscow Mules so that guests can just pour, add a fruit flavor, and enjoy! Make sure to chill all the ingredients for your cocktail well and prepare the mixture right before serving. Serve ice on the side, not in the cocktail, to prevent watering it down.
I set the glasses for the Moscow Mules on top of 2″ party circles to create a unique – and easy! – display. (pictured below, left)
If you’re using clear disposable cups at your party, though, you can even mod-podge the circles directly onto the bottom of the cups! It’s like a cute little surprise for your guest every time they take a sip + a very creative “drink marker” solution. (Taping them on will work for a bit, too, but eventually, the condensation from the chilled cocktail inside the glass will make the tape fall off.)
Small signs are another easy way to quickly theme up a party table! This Girl Power sign + matching “girls rule!” design is included in the printables, too.
More Fun to Come…
Hope you’re feeling *thirsty* for a girlie get-together now! 💖 Head over to Part 2 for even more girlie inspiration… we’re taking this playful theme to the brunch/lunch/dinner table next.
