Vintage Mod Black & White Engagement Party

Loving the sweet simplicity and creative touches in this vintage-mod engagement party, which was designed by Shannon Leahy and hosted in a San Francisco, CA loft.

The graphic designer in me adores the cool typographic poster hanging on the wall, which coordinates with the “When did you meet Caroline & Dixon?” guest activity… but the kitschy collection of borrowed cake toppers is such a fun idea too. They look especially great atop the stacked “oreo cookie cakes”! (I seriously want to pull one of those Oreos right through the screen right now too… lunchtime is calling!)

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Shannon

“We held this party in a loft in San Francisco and used vintage touches paired with modern black and white decor.  One of my favorite details was the collection of bride and groom cake toppers we borrowed that greeted guests when they entered.  In addition we had two games, one where guests guessed the type of wine hidden beneath tin foil since the bride and groom are wine lovers; and one where guests pinned the date that they met the bride and groom on a display hanging on the wall.”

AHHH! I love it! Plus, I am completely enamored with Caroline’s dress. Who makes it and where can I get it??

I love the texture of that table! And the bright spice-orange color of the drink in the middle of the classic black/white. Beautiful job, thanks for sharing. -LL

Any idea where the chalk sign for the “Greyhound” drink can be purchased? Love it!
