HWTM for Cricut: My Design Inspiration Boards

Mod Holiday Trees DIY Project

Hi there… I’d love your feedback on this!

This year, for the first time, I designed 4 holiday collections for Cricut. 🎉 (By “collections” I mean patterned card stock, vinyl, and iron-on materials.) There are 12 different patterns in each collection, and 48 total.

Can you please let me know which theme you’d like to see brought to life as a holiday party?

(Visuals are below.) You can post a comment right here or email me. 😊I’d really appreciate it!

I was asked to keep holiday parties in mind when designing these collections, and that’s exactly what I did. BUT, I’ve realized it’s kinda hard to see the “big picture thinking” behind a collection when you’re only seeing the finished patterns… before they’ve actually been made into fun things like this and this and this.

So, to help paint a better picture of where my head was at for each of the themes (and what you can do with them), I’m sharing my client inspiration boards today!  These are the EXACT boards I sent to Cricut to get their stamp of approval on the design directions before finalizing them.

The HWTM for Cricut collections are:

  • A – Flannel & Frost
  • B – Mod & Merry
  • C – Gingerbread Spice
  • D – Winter Sparkle

P.S. Can you guess which one is selling the best SO FAR? I just found out myself! I’ll tell you at the end of this post. 😉

Which theme makes YOU feel most excited to (holiday) party?

One of the reasons I’m asking is because – unless I magically transform into Evie from Out Of This World overnight and learn to freeze time – I won’t be able to style and shoot all 4 themes as full parties before Christmas. 😩 So… I want to make sure that the content I do work on and share is what’s going to be most helpful to you guys.

ALSO… hopefully seeing the “big picture thinking” here between patterns and parties in general will make it easier for you to bring your own favorite look to life, whatever it may be.

Thank You

I really do appreciate your feedback! 💛 There’s more I’d love to share about this design process and experience in general, but I also want to be mindful of your time. If you’re curious about it ANY of it, though, feel free to ask away in the comments and I will answer. :)

Last but not least, the theme that’s selling the best in stores SO FAR is………. Flannel & Frost! Specifically the Modern Mountaineer Iron-On and Modern Mountaineer Vinyl samplers from this collection. Did you guess right? I didn’t. 😆

So so hard to pic one!!! They are all just so fun
LOVE D for holiday adult party or just decor for my house:)
C for kid parties or teacher gifts…but I love A and B. I’d use all of them if I had the time Final answer A. Seems more versatile for most people:)

Love the geodes in the Winter Sparkel! Would love to see that set, even in a NYE theme too. Seems so swanky. Totally pairing with champagne. Some of your work would really inspire my use

I love the mod and merry!! It’s the perfect connection between childhood memories and adult modern life!! And flannel and frost (it reminds me of the mama bear holiday party you designed which I now identify with a lot since I became a mom). So these two are the absolute best! I am soooo hoping for some printables as we don’t have Cricut or Joann in Romania.

Hi Cristina – Thanks so much for your note! And I love that you remember the Mama Bear party! Anyways… there are definitely some coordinating party printables coming soon, so please stay tuned! ;)

Whoa! Winter Sparkle puts me in the “get dressed up and grab a glass of champagne to celebrate the holidays!” kinda mood. So classy and fun too!
