With summer here and strawberries in abundance, I thought it fitting to design and throw a 'Berry Strawberry Picnic' party. This party is 100% diy and super easy to replicate.

Knotted fabric garlands hung from the trees and a burlap tablecloth spruced up with  fun gingham and lace ruffle were used to bring in color and texture. A fantastic trellis (found at my local thrift store) and some strawberry printables served as the centerpiece and ribbon adorned wooden buckets were used as guests' placemats. The lunch/favor buckets were filled with a stuffed strawberry (fun details about that coming), a strawberry and cream cheese sandwich, water and branded with a name tag.

After guests enjoy their picnic lunch, it’s time for some field games! The strawberry bean bag toss is sure to be the kid’s favorite game of the day, with challenges ranging from ‘toss with your eyes closed’ to ‘toss standing on one leg.’ You can also have sack races, play freeze tag, or enjoy a game of red light, green light

My talented sister, Kristi of City Sweet Shop did it again with this five tiered strawberry short-cake. Believe me it was as good as it looks! She also wowed guests with her homemade churros, strawberry tarts and my favorite, her vanilla cupcakes with butter cream icing. And knowing how much I love sugar cookies, Kristi made marshmallow fondant toppers to match my strawberry designs to go on her famous, oh so soft cookies. Best sister ever!

As for the party favors, adults were given little baskets of fresh strawberries and the kiddos left with a strawberry container full of red and green gumballs.
