My son was obsessed with "Jake and the neverland Pirates" and wanted a Pirate theme for his 4th birthday.  Since his birthday is in July we always plan it to be an outdoor party at our house.  My husband loves to get involved and decided to make a pirate ship for the kids to plan in during the party.  He used "free" Cardboard and items and paint we had around the house and then dollar store sheets to make the sail.  the kids loved it

I also setup a "treasure hunt" of items the kids had to find to receive their "pirate name" and wooden treasure chest at the end of the party.

My son loved it and he still talks about how fun it was!
