PARTY DETAILS, as told by Kristeen

The theme was “It’s a Girl Ya’ll.”  The mother-to-be is from Arkansas and has always loved vintage cowgirl items.  We wanted it to feel Western but still pretty which is why we chose to mix classic elements with feminine details.  One example was with the napkins — we chose red and white bandanas but wrapped them in a softer, more luxe linen with a lace detail.

My absolute favorite element was the guest book — I found vintage red cowboy boots on eBay for guests to sign.  We put a chalkboard next to the boots that said, “These boots were made for signing.”

We also asked guests to leave “Words of Wisdom” on postcards and place in the mailbox.

We served: Mac n Cheese Munch, Corn Bread Zingers, Turkey Bean Chili Chow, City Slicker Sangria and a Farmer’s Market Salad

The favors were bottles of trail mix with stickers that read, “Happy Trails Ya’ll.”
