NAUGHTY or NICE? Sometimes it’s a little bit of both, right?! 😉

And this cheeky cookie gift idea has your loved ones covered either way. 😜

One side is filled with snowball cookies and the other with “coal” (a.k.a. snowball cookies + black food coloring!). Use my free printable Naughty and Nice Labels to decorate both sides of the pail, and the matching printable pattern to add a splash of color to the lid. These pails are approximately 3×4” and can be purchased at craft stores or online.

For the cookies:

1. To make the snowball cookies, prepare your favorite shortbread cookie recipe.
2. Roll the dough into small balls, approximately 1” in size. Bake for 9-11 minutes.
3. Let cool for a few minutes, then roll the cookies in powdered sugar while they are still warm.
4. Repeat the process for the “coal” cookies, with the added step of mixing black gel food coloring into the dough before baking and skipping the powdered sugar.
