I made the pear and white chocolate trifle for my familiy this year for Christmas…they almost licked the bowl.. I had to improvise a few ingredients.. I used equal parts lemonade and applejuice instead of the pear nectar and I couldn’t find the cardemon pods so I used ground alspice and put the liquid through a strainer…Made me have mini food-gasms!!!
That trifle looks amazing! I’m going to have to make that for my next dinner party, for sure. Thanks for the ideas!!
White chocolate originates from the cocoa (cacao) plant, but it is not ‘chocolate.’ According to the FDA, to be called ‘chocolate’ a product must contain chocolate liquor, which is what gives it the biter intense chocolate flavor (and color) to dark and milk chocolates.
