Art Deco Style Roaring 20s Party {Adult Birthday}
Shannon of Bottle Pop Party Co. dreamed up this fabulous Art Deco Style Roaring 20s Party for a fun adult birthday party… or “anytime” get together! There’s such a great mix of glam details and creative, yet easy DIY ideas here – like the flapper inspired bunting on the cake. For her one pro element, she enlisted Jesyka D’itri Mares to design some seriously gorgeous custom invitations! I love her choice of party password too. ;)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Metallic gold cake with a DIY black fringe bunting
- Prohibition era inspired liquor bottles + playful framed Humphrey Bogart quote
- Art deco style gold and black place settings
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Shannon…
I’ve been wanting to throw a Roaring 20’s party for someone, anyone, so instead of waiting for the right person to come to me, I decided to throw a faux Roaring Twenties party myself! I had grand ideas of an intimate dinner party among friends, with the focus on a stocked bar cart and pretty placesettings.
I enlisted my good friend Katie to be my flapper girl and this is what we came up with! I stuck with black, white, gold and a bit of blue to keep the dark, edgy feeling of prohibition era speakeasies.
I also brought in a bit of the then-popular art-deco in the tablesetting. Almost everything you see was a DIY project, from the liquor bottles to the cake stand to the feather and sequin headband.
I did call in designer Jesyka D’itri Mares to design the gorgeous invitation and she totally delivered with this custom piece. And even though the party was fake, the champagne wasn’t… and we finished shooting wishing we really had a 20’s party to attend!
