{40th Birthday} Sorority Themed Party
I wish my sorority parties looked like this! I’m loving this throwback {40th Birthday} Sorority Themed Party photographed by Jen of B&G Photography with styling by Lauren of Lavender Grey Events! A college “late-night” inspired menu, fun bar games and a custom sorority + emblem named after the birthday girl- this party looks like it was a super fun night …without any exams to worry about! ;)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Patterned & printed floating kites as ceiling decorations
- Screen printed t-shirts, pillows, & beer koozies with the “Kappa Kappa Callie” emblem
- Pretty paper flower centerpieces + Gorgeous teal candy dessert table
- Beer Pong, Jello Shots, Taco + Burger Bar and “Kappa Kappa Cool-Aid” Signature Party Drinks
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Lauren…
What better way to celebrate a 40th Birthday then a throwback to your best college greek party. The birthday girl entered her own sorority Kappa Kappa Callie, complete with columns at the front door, and a custom crest. Once inside guests signed an old school composition notebook to wish the birthday girl well. The inner bar was redesigned to look like the pub where the birthday girl met her husband – complete with a custom sign from that pub and a pool table. As the night went on guests moved outside to the “sorority” area that was filled with custom signage, pillows, classic beer koozies and t-shirts. The flowers were hand crafted paper pansies inspired by the birthday girl’s sorority; Kappa Alpha Theta. The ceiling was filled with handcrafted kites (another symbol form Kappa Alpha Theta) made from different materials to create a unique sky for the party. We added a shot luge, jello shots and beer pong table to really round out the college vibe. We made sure to focus on what made college great – gourmet spins on college late night food, amazing 90’s music videos, and a crowded dance floor. But wait, no party is complete without a special musical guest – Coolio tore up the stage and really put everyone back in time. After the performance guests visited the photo stand where they got their picture taken for the sorority photo composite that was a gift for the birthday girl to remember her guests. Last but not least, guests with a sweet tooth stopped by the gorgeous candy bar to make bags of goodies color coordinated in aqua and yellow. Overall, guests got to go back in time and party like it was 1993!

Million dollar $mile Celebrations
That looks like a great time! I guess beer pong never goes out of style.
A party that I want to be a part of. I always visit your site for inspirations. Thanks..
The blue coloured theme and crest she used on EVERYTHING is the Kappa Kappa Gamma crest…not Kappa Alpha Theta…? That’s a bit awkward..
A party that i want to join!
That’s a great time! Really enjoyable
