4th of July Party Ideas: Food, Drinks & DIY Decor
It’s hard to believe that 4th of July is only 2 days away… which means hooray for a 2-day work week! ;) If you’re going to be a 4th of July hostess this year though, 2 days ALSO means that there’s not a lot of time left for planning your celebration. Are you ready? And please don’t feel bad if the answer is no… I’m right there with you this year!
11 CREATIVE IDEAS FOR 4TH OF JULY
With all the amazing minds pumping out creative content these days, there’s definitely no shortage of fabulous 4th of July party ideas to be found. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by it all, here are a few of my favorite creative, yet approachable patriotic party ideas for everything from food & drinks to decor – streamlined into one spot. Here we go…
PATRIOTIC FOOD & DRINKS:
1. Rocket Dogs {via Family Fun} – How clever are these?!
2. Barbecued Corn on a Stick displayed in a bed of fritos
3. White Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake Bites – Only 2 ingredients! How’s that for easy? ;)
4. Edible Eagles {via Noble Pig} – Incredibly cute & unexpected!
5. Pour-and-Serve Cocktails + Patriotic Fruit: – Instead of spending a lot of time mixing & muddling at the party, keep things easy with a clear pour-and-serve cocktail like BACARDI Classic Cocktails Light (pictured above, available in Pina Colada and Mojito), then garnish with red, white and blue fruit such as strawberries, pears, blueberries, etc. Use a star-shaped cutter to cut watermelon, apples, or pears into star shapes.
PATRIOTIC CRAFTS
6. Red, White, & Blue Mason Jars {via Big Bear’s Wife} – Love the textured look to these!
7. Paper Fireworks Sparklers via {Say Yes to Hoboken} – Another great use for the beloved stripey straw! These would be cute as cake toppers too.
PATRIOTIC DECORATIONS
8. Patriotic Circus Centerpiece {via 100 Layer Cake} I am always a sucker for circus themes and am I’m actually painting animal figurines red, white & blue for our own 4th of July party! :)
9. Patriotic Paper Rosettes & Tissue Daisies – When it comes to easy, low cost & high impact decor, you can’t beat paper rosettes and tissue daisies!
10. Cork Fireworks Backdrop {via Anders Ruff} – Wine corks never looked so cool! Get the full DIY tutorial here.
11. Patriotic Tissue Paper Chandeliers {via Multiples & More} – Let the colors fly! Although these creative decorations will still look fantastic without the breeze too.
