I love it when submissions come in that remind us that simple & budget-friendly styling can still result in a wonderfully creative, beautiful celebration! Vanessa from Little Pear Events put this Art Deco Inspired Wedding together, and it has such a warm and inviting vibe. I’m especially loving all the vintage doily details and the DIY cupcake cart, (of course!).

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Vanessa….

The lovely couple wanted a simple elegant affair that would suit both the adults and children attending. The brides’ dress was Art Deco inspired so that’s where we started -using the gold and pewter that featured in her dress as a color starting point.

We collected lots of vintage vessels of glass, ceramic and pewter to house the flower arrangements and sweets. We adorned the cake with beautiful Roses, Dahlias and Baby’s Breath. A DIY Cupcake Cart was made for the kids to come in and decorate their cupcakes with lots of candy and sprinkles, they even got to swirl the icing on! Lots of gold spray painted paper doilies where hung as garlands and the whole room was dotted with doily covered bottles which were used as vases alongside tea lights. The main cake table had a vintage linen and lace backdrop with giant gold and cream paper flowers, on the table was the beautiful cake as well as Macaroons, Sixlets, Pana Cotta and Coconut rounds.

Favors were Mason quilted jars full of chocolates for the adults and personalized goody bags for the kids. A Photo station was set up for guests to take a snap and add it to the guest book with their well wishes for the lovely bride and groom.
