Quick Jump To » Vendor Credits | Comments

Beatles Inspired Birthday Party

In continuation of yesterday’s insanely creative Beatles-inspired BabyMANIA party from Suzanne of SHEPAPERIE, here we go with Part 2 of that same birthday bash, which just might be your favorite part… because we’re covering the FOOD!

And speaking of things that are insanely creative… check out the adorable edible “Yellow Submarines” above – made from twinkies, skittles, and drinking straws! That’s just one of the fabulous themed treats that were featured on the “ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE AND SWEETS” station… which offered up sweet treats guests could enjoy after filling up on SGT. PEPPERoni Pizza, LET IT B-L-T Bites, an OCTOPUS’s GARDEN Salad Bar, and more…

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Suzanne…

THE FOOD/DRINKS

“I wanted classic kid’s birthday party food, but that didn’t mean it couldn’t be creatively executed! Here’s what we had on the menu:

  • I AM THE EGGMAN deviled eggs
  • LET IT B-L-T bites
  • HERE COMES THE SUNchips
  • YELLOW SUBMARINE sandwiches
  • SGT. PEPPERoni pizza
  • THEY SAY IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY cake

And for drinks we had “FOR THE BENEFIT OF MR. SPRITE,” “SGT. DR. PEPPER”, and water bottles with custom BABYMANIA wrapped labels.

FOOD STATIONS

I also had two stations for our guests to enjoy: a salad bar which was appropriately referred to as the “Octopus’s Garden” and of course an “ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE AND SWEETS” station. We incorporated many Beatles references such as “Strawberry Fields Forever” sugar cookies, Marmalade Skies Jam (I saved baby food jars for this one!), Apple Records (which was The Beatles record label), Marshmallow Pies, and “Yellow Submarines” made from Twinkies, Dot Candy and straws.”

(Be sure to check out the rest of the party – including decor, invitations, & more – right here in Part 1!)

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments! And Wendy, the glass bottles for the milk were just Starbucks Frappuccino bottles from the grocery store. There were the perfect size!

  25. noemi May 17, 2011 at 1:18 pm
