Bright & Beachy Surfing Birthday Party
As a San Diego native, spending time at the beach is a necessary part of my DNA ;). So I am loving this Bright & Beachy Surfing Birthday Party from Maria Olivia Campos of Invento Festa! Beautifully styled with bright patterns & colors, cheerful sea creature decorated desserts and an awesome surfer topped ombre ocean birthday cake (masterfully created by Maria’s team), this party is teeming with shore inspiration! Now all I want to know is, which way’s the beach?
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Octopus & seashell topped chocolate brigadeiros + flip flop chocolate pops & chocolate sand pails
- Sandy beach & drink umbrella topped cupcakes with fondant sun & crabs + candy filled beach buckets
- Shark fin topped candy jars, potted succulents & a sugar covered, fondant sculpted sand castle
- Blue chevron backdrop & paper decor, a vintage surfer’s van + beachy tote bag party favors
PARTY DETAILS as told by Maria…
Diego is a little boy who loves the beach and surfing, so we made this colorful dessert table to celebrate his third birthday. I used bright colors like green, light blue, orange and navy blue for contrast. All the elements of a sunny day at the beach were created into desserts on the table. My favorite items were the chevron backdrop, the cute cake, the brigadeiros (chocolate bon bons), “sunscreen tubes” and all of the beautiful (and delicious) sweets displayed all around.

Where did you get the boy on the top of your cake?

I think the cake topper is actually handmade from fondant…Maria does incredible fondant work. :)
