PARTY DETAILS, as told by Lilly

This was truly a magical event! Working with Alexa’s mom was amazing because she allowed me to run with my ideas and create an event that I could only dream of! The event was composed of different areas in the family’s residence. The flow was to simulate the wonderful story of Beauty and the Beast, the inspiration behind this birthday party.

To begin with, I enlisted my amazing vendors who always allow me to get creative and always brings my designs to life! The invitations had to be royal and they were! A handsome prince knocked on every guest’s door and handed them an invitation to never forget (images via Dollhouse Paperie by Dolce Drive.. amazing!). Each received a handmade paper rose with a custom leaf inviting them to the royal ball. Followed by the formal invitation which was a stunning ornate shape and introduced the theme of the event! As guests arrived, each child was greeted with a princess or pirate balloon. They walked down the red carpet and this is where the story began…..

They walked into the west wing where 2 charming pieces were watching the guests from the mantel. In the center of the room was the wilting rose and magical mirror! They proceeded through the West Wing and encountered a quaint French village where the beautiful Princess read a story and guests could enjoy croissants, crepes, and pick some flowers from the flower cart!

Then, the children were welcomed by Princess Alexa’s Boutique where the boys would become pirates and the girls would become princesses! Eye patches, Tiaras, pearls and tutus were some of the fun items waiting for the children to dress up in. A face painter transformed boys into daring pirates, and a very girly staff transformed all the little girls into princesses with beautiful hair and some glitter!

Once the princesses and pirates were transformed they proceeded into the castle (tent) where they were the Guests of Honor! Sweets, Chandeliers, and Candelabras were there to greet all the children! Along with the most appropriate song to make them feel like the guests of honor! Mini cake pops to look like teacups, dress shaped cookies, and a china cabinet lined with plates, were the finishing touches to a magical afternoon!

It took a huge team of vendors and staff to accomplish this event and without them it wouldn’t have been as magical!

Those rose invitations are simply magnificent! The whole party looks wonderful, but the roses in particular would work with almost any event – you could even use them as placeholders in lieu of a centerpiece. What great ideas, thank you for sharing!
