I can totally understand Mandy (of House of Rose), mom to 3 boys (with over 10 themed boy parties behind her), wanting to dream up a modern and chic party for once! She incorporated her son Parker’s favorite color into his party, essentially making the color the theme itself- which I absolutely love!

The Blue Ombre Dessert Table turned out so so cute. The local bakers did a fabulous job on the cake and the crafted fabric garland and tissue poms were perfect. Overall anyone who loves the color blue may just feel like they’re in heaven! :) P.S. An ombre inspired dessert table could work in any color and for any occasion, like this pink first birthday and purple baby naming!

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

  • Blue Ombre Ripped Fabric Garland
  • Ruffled Blue Birthday Cake + Ombre Cupcakes
  • Framed “Happy Birthday” Sign on a Wrapped Box Tower Display
  • Tissue Pom Decor and Blue Chevron Tablecloth

Theme & Decor

A boy is sure to love a blue party! We have three boys so I am sure you can imagine that we have done just about every single boy theme you can possibly think of. I wanted to do something unique, but still incorporated my son’s favorite color…blue. The Blue Ombre Birthday Party was born.

I wanted to keep the party modern and chic so I used a different shades of blue and lots of dimension for my table. One of my favorite parts is the blue ombre fabric strip banner. I hung it on a white with baby blue polka dot background so that the color would pop.

I love that this party can be done in ANY color to fit a boy or girl.

Another great thing about going with a ombre party…it was so easy to find things that worked together. I raided my middle child’s room for his little blue book bins and used those to set the party favors in. I also used wrapping paper and wrapped up a few boxes to give the table a little more color and dimension.

Sweets

  • My absolute favorite part of the birthday party {besides the amazingly cute birthday boy} was the cake.
  • It was done in different shades of blue…from dark to light…and it was gorgeous!
  • We also had the cupcakes decorated in different blues and used the same concept for the toppers.
  • I wanted to keep it simple and clean.
