PARTY DETAILS, as told by Kenna…
This dessert table was for a client’s adorable 5 year old girl, Leighoni and her handsome 1 year old brother, Maddox. Their Momma found me through Facebook and contacted me months before to book a Circus/Carnival themed dessert table. I was excited because this was actually my son’s 1st birthday theme- a party at which I got no good pictures because I was too busy running around- (a great reason to hire a planner AND a photographer!) I was very ready for a Circus Party “re-do” with great photos! The party home was quite a distance from my house, about 2.5 hours away to be exact- so travelling with cookies and cake pops in 110 degree weather was a little stressor but I cranked on the AC and hoped for the best!
I brought my awesome photographer Christina from Moments Captured Photography with me- who also assisted with set up.
One thing I did differently for this dessert table was order a store bought smash cake (gasp!) from Albertson’s Grocery Store. I was dead set on making it adorable and I think it turned out pretty darn perfect! This proves that even a store bought ($8.00) cake can look great on a professional dessert table if you add the right printables and decor to it! Hannah’s Cookies & Treats made me the most adorable Circus inspired party favor cookies & cookie pops which were the first treats to go!
All of my graphics as well as the red/white scalloped popcorn cups can be purchased from PartyOn! Designs- Amber is always a pleasure to work with and really knocked it out of the park with this custom Circus Party Package!
My favorite piece of decor from this dessert table was the gold glittered Wilton Carousel Cake stand that was given to me by a friend. It was initially all pastels (vintage 80’s) and I knew it would looks amazing glitterized. I then stacked a cupcake platter on top of it to create a 3 tired dessert platter which was really an eye catcher!
My son’s vintage Fischer Price trains were the perfect addition to the table as they held all the animal cookie pops- although I will say he was counting down the days to get the train back!
