Inspirational Bows & Arrows Birthday Party {Girl Power!}
Shoot for the stars! Jenny Raulli of Bloom Designs Online *aimed high* for her daughter Charlotte’s Inspirational Bows & Arrows Birthday Party. Decked out in pink, green, navy and hints of shiny gold, the pattern-play place settings and gallery wall dessert table are “centerpieces” that you just can’t miss. Also, I love the message Jenny – a girl power party theme is a great way to teach confidence in soon-to-be teenage girls!
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Pink fondant bow cupcake toppers and gold bow cake pops with multi-patterned party straw sticks
- Creative straw arrow lunch box embellishments, pink mini drink jugs & printable chevron placemat
- “Sparkle and Shine” makeup table + “Shoot for the Stars” marshmallow shooter game
- Inspirational quote gallery wall backdrop, jumbo honeycomb piles and pastel pink dessert stands
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Jenny…
I styled this Bows and Arrows Party for my sweet Charlotte’s birthday. It’s all about girl power or girly girl power to be more specific since Charlotte is all girl. So we used lots of bows and combined them with lots of inspirational messages. I just don’t think we can support and encourage our girls enough! We decided on a pink, mint and navy color scheme and incorporated lots of bows and arrows imagery into all of the printables and decor. (I have to be honest, my sweet 11 year old Hillary thought of this theme when I was trying to brainstorm a hunting party. Clever, right?)
The dessert table was the focal point of the party. A ruffled peanut butter and chocolate banana cake was surrounded by pretty bow cake pops, chocolate covered Oreos, fondant bow topped cupcakes, macaroons and cups of banana cream pie (the birthday girls favorite). Sugar cookies with inspirational wordingwere the perfect final touch.
I tried to incorporate our theme of inspirational message in all of the party activities. The girls “Aimed High” at an archery station and made their mark at our paint station. They could “Shoot for the Stars” with marshmallow gun or “Sparkle and Shine” at the make up table. Their favorite activity was decorating their own journals at “Adventure is Write here.”
We set up a little snack station filled in with treats to nibble and personalized Birthday POP side bottles. A pretty table with ruffled tablecloths and custom place mats (both available from our shop) and boxed dinners tied closed with an arrow to match the party. The centerpiece was once of my favorite element. Ten 23 Designs made the most incredible Charlotte arrow that I popped in the middle of white hydrangeas.
As always Charlottes favorite part of the party was her smash cake with her thoroughly enjoyed all by herself.
