Boys Camping Birthday {Party in the Woods!}
Party in the woods! It’s Michael’s 7th birthday and mommy, Elizabeth Sprague of Lemonberry Moon Inc., made a REAL Boys Camping Birthday Party! The campsite venue wouldn’t be complete without “Lake Water”, lunch wrapped in bandanas, a trail mix bar and {cute} bears of course!
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Cheeto “Campfire Flames” and Gummy Worm & Frog “Fish Bait”
- Bear Lollipops, S’more Cupcakes and Pretzel “Kindling”
- “Take A Hike” Trail Mix Bar, Lake Water and a Picnic Table Dessert Spread!
- Scavenger Hunt and Birdhouse Painting Activities
- Homemade Granola & Fruit Leather and “Don’t Feed The Bears” Favors
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Elizabeth…
This camping party was for my 7 year old son Michael, we rented three campsites to spread out the fun and give the kids plenty of room to play. We were actually camping for the weekend which added some difficulties, but also made it more fun :) I handmade the wooden signs “Please don’t feed the bears”, etc. We drilled out wood pieces to hold the lollipops. The treat table included pudding dirt cups, cheetos “campfire flames” served in a mini bbq, gummy worms and frogs in an antique tackle box for “fish bait”, S’more cupcakes, cookies, homemade granola bars, homemade fruit leather, dipped pretzel “kindling” and puppy chow (an old family favorite for camping) served in cones. We also had stuffed bears for the kids to bring home.
There was the “Take a hike trail mix bar” where the kids could make their own trail mix to take home. The birthday boy’s trail mix included a full box of mini m&ms and nothing else :) Needless to say the kids loved this station!
Activities included; Wooden disc name tags for the kids to decorate with twine and glow in the dark beads for the necklace part. Painting birdhouses, activity booklets, coloring backpacks to take home their goodies and a scavenger hunt I made at home. The scavenger hunt was a big favorite! We also setup a tent for the kids to play in and where the birthday boy opened his presents. Being that the party was a little further drive than most parties we wanted plenty of activities to keep the kids busy all day.
Lunch was served in bandanas on sticks and included an apple and ham sandwich with a canteen of water.
Our last activity was the S’more Fun station where the adults helped the kids roast marshmallows and make s’mores.
This party was so much fun!
