Stephanie Gardner of Pretty Lovely Events planned this Bright, Pink and Chevron Girls Glamping Party for Lainey’s tween sleepover birthday! Inspired by Ricki Maynard’s Glam Camping Birthday Party, Stephanie’s version of a girly “glamp out” looks super fun with creative camping inspired snacks, outdoor activities and a night under the stars in adorable DIY a-frame tents!

When my client asked me to style her daughter’s 11th birthday sleepover, she didn’t have a theme in mind. All her daughter had requested was a scavenger hunt. After seeing the adorable glamping party by Anders Ruff floating around the blog world, I’d been dieing to do a similar theme. I thought this would be perfect to incorporate with a scavenger hunt and I knew the client beautiful backyard would work well! We chose a bright color scheme of pink, purple, turquoise, and lime green. Printable designs from 505 Design were absolutely perfect for what I had in mind, incorporating natural elements with bright colors and chevron.

For the dessert table, I wanted to make a ruffled tablecloth using the bright colors. Since their backyard faces a beautiful field and a pond, I opted not to use a fabric backdrop. I only hung bright lanterns from Hobby Lobby with polka dot ribbon and adorned with bling above the table. Stacked Studio Cake Designs created an adorable chevron cake with a tent on top. Custom glamping cookies from Sugar Me Desserterie really added a touch of the theme to the table. The birthday girl loves the cake batter popcorn I make, so I displayed a whole lot of it in a picnic basket. Other snacks included s’mores pops in a metal pail, trail mix in individual jars decorated with purple polka dot washi tape and chevron wooden spoons, chocolate dipped pretzels wrapped with bakers twine to look like firewood, chocolate covered birthday cake oreos, and rock candy. On another table I displayed neon sixlets in a cast iron skillet.

All 16 girls received their very own brightly colored a-frame tent that we set up in the backyard. I also draped a large 10×10 tent with pink fabric, suspended a chandelier, piled in some bright pillows, hooked a projector and screen up, and adorned with a Camp Lainey pennant banner for the girls to watch movies under. The scavenger hunt sent the girls around their neighborhood to collect funny items such as empty coke cans, junk mail, and holey socks. Favors included a s’mores kit, water bottle, gumball tubes, and a custom tote bag.
