Lemon & Tuscany Inspired Breakfast Bridal Shower
Rita Al-Shaikh of Simply Sienna combined the bride Natasa’s Italian heritage, love for the color yellow and lemons to create this Sunny Lemon Inspired Breakfast Bridal Shower. Almost all of the desserts were homemade by friends and family, which I think is so sweet and something you don’t see very often anymore. This shower seems to be the perfect sendoff to an especially sweet marriage. :)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Yellow candy bar with a lemon tree painting backdrop and filled with vintage knick knacks
- Cast iron lemon press for guests to make their own lemonade & lemon cake pops
- Cookie Bar with homemade Italian cookie filled apothecary jars + lemon candy topped cupcakes
- Contrasting greenery & lemon tea name cards with flavors based on Italian lemon sorbet
PARTY DETAILS as told by Rita…
When I first met our then bride to be, Natasa, I knew immediately she was a girl tied very deeply to her Italian heritage, family focused and as sweet as can be. With her love of lemons, the bright colour yellow and the idea of a beautiful breakfast shower, we knew exactly what to do.
The cookie buffet gave a nod to tradition and we promised Natasa we would showcase the creations made by friends and family elegantly. In lieu of a cake, a talented guest made cupcakes which were served to each guest.
Incorporating lemons, hints of Italian on the individual San Pellagrino water bottles, styling a sweet table reminiscent of a Tuscan village and small details like the lemon sobitttini tea bag seating cards brought the event to life.

This is such a beautiful party. I am Italian as well and my kitchen is done with a Tuscan Lemon theme. The details of this shower are so beautiful. The tables, the dining tables as well as the other dessert, raffle and sign in table. Just so well done. Bravo!!!
I’m a family friend of the bride and the one who made the cupcakes. So cool to see such a nice shout out :)
Loved this! The bright yellow pop up color for the decor looks gorgeous.
Gorgeous!!
Wherever did that lemon press come from. It is so fun – I’d love to find one for my kitchen!!
