Pink and Orange Garden Wedding

WOW. I’m pretty much head-over-heels in LOVE with this vibrant & whimsical Garden Wedding that was both dreamed up and beautifully captured by talented photographers/friends Melanie Duerkopp and Stephanie Godfrey!

The inspiration behind this eye candy buffet? A cool vintage birdcage and a fabulous BCBG dress (which you will see in Part 2 when we cover all the wedding party fashion details – including some of the most creative boutonnieres I’ve seen yet!). For Part 1, though, read on to feast your eyes on some truly stunning images of the oh-so-charming tablescape and vibrant floral designs… (P.S. Don’t you think this would make for a fabulous bridal or baby shower table too?!)

CREATIVE DETAILS, as told by Melanie

“My friend Stephanie and I shot this stylized wedding together at my friend’s backyard in Kentfield, California. It was so much fun to shop and prep for this shoot!

The 1st piece we purchased was the birdcage – which was found at the Alameda Point Antiques & Collectibles Faire. Next we found an amazing pink, orange & gray “bridesmaid dress” at BCBG. These two pieces were the main inspiration for the rest of the shoot!

From there everything just fell together… Katie (the bride!) designed all the stationary for us. Erin created the Boutonnieres. I asked for one and she delivered 4…gotta love that! We found all the flowers at the San Francisco Farmers Market and San Francisco Flower Mart, and Stephanie and I collected old jars to use for about 6 weeks prior to the shoot.

For the dessert table we gathered a bunch of random goodies. The macaroons were from Paulette, doughnuts from KrispyKreme. We found the fabric at Discount Fabrics and the bride’s Katie’s jewelry at from Ruche. For Kerry (the bridesmaid!) we had her ring custom made in a little store in Woodland Hills. And the groom’s shirt and tie came from Café Coton.”
