PARTY DETAILS as told by Supriya

We had so much fun organizing this spring garden party for adorable Saanvi’s second birthday. Saanvi is particularly fond of colours and absolutely loves fluttering around just like care-free butterflies. We wanted to create a party that truly reflected her curiosity, imagination and playful nature, so a spring garden party was in order!

Styling Story

In her bright and colourful world, Saanvi has a garden bench where she loves to have picnics. The bench is laid out with yummy sweets and treats. There are flowers, bugs and an abundance of sweetness. Her dream world is not complete without her much loved tee pee full of enchanting toys. The backdrop shows the playful side of a two year old — happily climbing onto a garden tree branch. The kids’ tables were full of goodies and fun games that were a good dose of learning too! As party favors for the kids, we filled cute picnic baskets and personalized calico gift bags. Finally, we created a wishing tree full of blooms to leave a message for Birthday girl.

We could have never been able to style this scale of work without the help of our absolutely wonderful vendors. It was a collaborative effort of more than 14 different vendors whom we would like to express our heartfelt thanks. In particular, Heather from Youmakedo was absolutely brilliant in providing the exceptional party stationary. One of our favorites parts of her amazing collection was the colouring placemats with garden seeds — they were a huge hit among the kids. The personalized pinwheels for each kid gave everyone a little piece of the garden. Neeti and her team from PrettyUrParty did an amazing job in coming up with spectacular posters and beautiful chair backs.

Sandamali from Sweet Dream cakes made a very yummy birthday cake and cupcakes that perfectly matched the backdrop. The two-tiered cake had a strawberry and white chocolate bottom tier and a pineapple top tier with a silky butter cream icing. The chocolate-coated Oreos were made to look like garden snails by Jo from Boutique Cakes. They were truly a masterpiece to look at and equally delicious. Cakes and Biscuits by Lisa made adorably tempting toadstool cake pops. Our huge thank you to Little Big Company for sourcing cute favor baskets in such a short notice — they provided that extra touch to the garden experience.

All the food and favors looked so fantastic. The photos reminded me a lot of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory, especially the shot of the cake pops. Everyone must of loved stepping into this fantasy!
