Bold & Cheerful East Coast Clambake
This beautiful East Coast Clambake designed by Desiree Spinner Events just looks like such a fun party! The bright red and yellow color palette gives off such a festive, happy vibe – especially when brought to life through fun details like red chiavari chairs, red & white check napkins and vibrant yellow sunflowers displayed in mason jars.
Looking at these pics got me thinking too… sunflowers are readily available right now – our local grocery store has actually featured a huge bin of sunflower bunches out front for a while now – so for a cheerful twist on the usual autumn palette, why not try pairing sunflowers with bright red and a few rustic textures and elements for your pretty fall dinner parties & celebrations this year? Sounds like a good plan to me… :)

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Desiree…
“This is DSE’s 3rd time designing the Madonna Annual Clambake, and it was also the most exciting because the event board wanted to incorporate a color palette with much bolder colors, different from the previous year’s event, which had a neutral color scheme.
We chose red, ivory and yellow to give the event a more casual and laid back feel. We picked white linen fabric for the tables and pulled a red and white checked napkin and red chivari chairs. The Sperry Tent gave the event that New England vibe that we all love about Cape Cod and it fit right in with the clambake menu.
The pie tables where a DIY project that we did by purchasing unfinished wood tables and painting them a bright Americana red to match the chairs. We used pedestals from our collection and went local with the pies ordering a ton from the Centerville Pie Company including Maine Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, Cape Cod Crunch and Apple. It was the perfect complement to the traditional New England faire.
Since the event grows each year, we moved the buffet near the water which kept guests happy to enjoy the scenery and walk around a bit. We also added an outside and inside the tent bar which worked out great for the growing guest list. It’s so fun to do the clambake each year and to be able to see the kids one year older each time. I am thrilled to do next year’s event as well, but this time in a surprise location…stay tuned!!”
