Happy Cinco de Mayo… Eat Up!
As a certified Mexican-food lover, you don’t have twist my arm to convince me to celebrate Cinco de Mayo… but if your arm needs twisting, here are some mouth-watering recipe ideas (for everything from festive main dishes and cocktails to desserts) that should do the trick…
{pictured above} treats from Everyday with Rachael Ray :
- Watermelon Agua Fresca (cocktail featuring tequila & triple sec)
- Mexican Chocolate Fondue (for dipping with cinnamon donut holes!)
- Mexican Hot Chocolate (seasoned with cinnamon and chile powder)
- Lime Sorbet Frozen Margarita (just scoop, pour & serve!)
{pictured below} appetizers & main dishes from FoodNetwork :
- Chipotle Shrimp Tacos with Avacado Salsa Verde
- Tyler’s Chicken Enchiladas
- Emeril’s Chorizo, Bean, and Cheese Nachos
- Tyler’s Chunky Guacamole

A watermelon flavored cocktail?! I’ll take mine with a side of ultra-cheesy nachos, please!
Everything looks so yummy! Especially the nachos and the lime sorbet margaritas!
I like the lemon sorbet cocktail! Yummy:)
I love the use of the watermelon…so much prettier than the typical lime that is stuck with tequila drinks!
Certainly no need for Arm Twisting! Those photos Look so appetizing. We’ ve just celebrated the 1rst of May ( Labor day ) in Paris. I’d be ever so glad to celebrate some more
Those chocolate dipped cinnamon donut holes look awfully tempting! Ugh…I love Cinco de Mayo but I have a feeling it’s going to be a detriment to my diet! Oh, well – just one day, right? :)
