A Classic & Rustic Kids Halloween Party
I’m loving the classic color combinations and traditional feel of this Rustic Halloween Party by Kim of The Celebration Shoppe! With adorable Frankenstein, Jack-O-Lantern, and Ghost candy dish pedestals, cookies, and more. . . it’s definitely a TREAT of a party! Kim’s inspiration came from the oldie-but-goodie classic Halloween costumes that many of us wore then we were children. There’s something really nostalgic and timeless about this party. The old barn doesn’t hurt either {wink}
Oh, and did you notice the adorable little screech owl that Kim used throughout? It looks amazing on everything from the party invitations to the cookies, and the place cards to the chair back covers and table runner. Don’t forget that you can get your hands on all of these amazing party printables at The Celebration Shoppe.

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Kim. . . .
“This collection was inspired by traditional Halloween costumes. You know. The ones we wore as kids. Witches, mummies, Frankensteins and vampires. Okay, so maybe I was a princess a time or two… and maybe Strawberry Shortcake… At any rate, I love Halloween, but I’m more of a “treat” kind of girl than “trick,” so I wanted to style a fun party without the fright. For the location, I selected a beautiful farm with a large white barn and raw wood interior. It was the perfect backdrop.
For the table décor, we hung large pumpkin lanterns. Designed an entire printables collection full of placecards, beverage wrappers, napkins rings and much more. I asked Sew Jewell to create table runners and chair backers monogrammed with the collection’s screech owl. We crafted several DIY ideas like the cauldron centerpiece and spider forks. I found very modern orange and white polka dot tableware with black crepe placemats. And the little glitter pumpkins holding the placecards are last year’s find from the dollar store.
For the dessert table, I created more DIY ideas like the ghost, Frankenstein and jack-o-lantern pedestal candy dishes. Each filled with yummy candy and labeled with silly names like “ghost mist,” “Frankenstein bolts” and “pumpkin seeds.” I also asked my partners at Sweet Tooth Cottage to create screech owl and witch hat butter cookies for the collection. And as usual, the kiddos gobbled them up!
Then there were our lovely little monsters. Sew Jewell stepped in again and made all four costumes: the witch’s monogrammed t-shirt, ruffle skirt and collared cape, Frankenstein’s skirt and monogrammed t-shirt, the vampire’s pants and collared cape, and the mummy’s pants and wrappings. I think my favorite is the cape. The pointy bat wing hem was just too adorable!”

LOVED THIS THEME!
What fun! You know I missed doing a birthday party for my boys this year and now I think we’ll through a combined Halloween Party instead. Only a few Aussie celebrate this it will be a different fun think for the kids ;)
I might have to throw a Halloween party this year — that owl is just too cute!
Thanks so very much for sharing Jenn & Jessica!
Love the theme, very cute and creative! I should set up a mini party for my nieces as well and do pumpkin decorations. I also found a good site with cute Halloween utensils that can also be reused
I love the girls outfits! The colours are fab.
