Cock-a-Doodle-Doo, Look Who’s Turning 2! {Farm Party}
Rise & shine! The roosters sure are crowing for this Cock-a-Doodle-Doo, Look Who’s Turning 2! Farm Birthday Party! Eleanor & Lauren of Pink Peppermint Paper were inspired by Lauren’s great grandfather’s dairy farm, Benton Woods, to bring the ranch life to their backyard for Lauren’s son’s big day. I am loving all the sweet personal touches, like the handmade place settings and the drawing of the real barn at Benton Woods. Gotta love an escape from city life every once in a while. ;)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Red gingham tablescape with DIY jean pocket utensil holders, mini hay bales & cotton ball ‘sheep’ cups
- Ranch-style breakfast with biscuits & gravy, bacon & eggs + sheep cake pops & chocolate cow tails
- A white picket fence & farm animals birthday cake + a backyard farm animals petting zoo
- Farm trough drinks table with picnic style mason jars + watering can party favors
- Milk bottle crates, cow print & udder balloons + a “MOOve on around back” sign
PARTY DETAILS as told by Eleanor & Lauren…
We are Eleanor and Lauren from Pink Peppermint Parties, and we can’t wait for you to see this farm-themed party we styled for Lauren’s son when he turned two.
Inspired by her great grandfather’s dairy farm, Benton Woods, and her son’s love of animals, Lauren hosted friends and family for fun on the farm at their home. A mild spring day in Jackson, Mississippi proved to be the perfect backdrop for some hands-on fun with a variety of animals that stopped by to play. There were bunnies, chickens, lambs, goats, a miniature pony and even a llama.
After the animals had been well-loved, the guests washed up and headed to the back porch for some alfresco dining farmhand-style. A hearty breakfast with farm fresh eggs, bacon and biscuits was served. Pint-sized tables with handmade red barn plates, animal-themed cups and these great denim pockets for silverware invited them to take a load off. A clever beverage station, the “Trough,” offered juices, milks and water in done up down home style.
Since a family dairy farm was the inspiration for the party, we played up the cow elements, including these fantastic gloves turned udder balloons that were paired with cow prints. Inside, there were fun farm-themed elements as well, including a cow air walker balloon, lots more udder balloons and some whimsical signage for the bathroom and porch doors.
We all watched our step and headed outside again for cake and more play time. They worked hard that day on the farm. Early to rise and early to bed–or at the very least, a long nap! Guests went home with their own watering can, some seeds to sow and a toddler-sized tool to plow the soil. The message read, “Oink. Moo. Doodle-Doo. I had fun celebrating with you!”
What a fun day of memories made for us all and a very happy birthday for our favorite two-year-old!
