A Simple & Festive Cocktail Party Dessert Station
I’m excited to share some “sweet” details with you today! This is the dessert station from our new Festive Garden Cocktail Party with Master of Mixes. (If you haven’t seen the full party already, click here to check it out.)
Cheers to “Mini” Stations
Dessert stations are always a hit and often serve as a giant “centerpiece” for a party. However, they can also deliver a BIG hit to your party budget… and fast! This is why I’m also a big fan of mini dessert stations like this one, and of using a combination of homemade and store-bought treats to bring them to life.
Utilizing creative “filler decor” to round out a dessert station and help play up the theme is another favorite tip. For example, a ceramic planter was used to hold the cake forks, pink crystal treat stands added a hint of glam, and accents of greenery brought the garden vibes.

1. Balloon Cake Topper
Balloons were one of the key decor elements for this theme, so I wanted to carry them right on through to the cake! This cake topper is made from party straws slid over a wooden dowel rod, then embellished with small balloons and greenery. I hot glued the balloon knots to the straw to keep them in place. The result is a high impact cake topper that cost very little in terms of time or money! 🎉

3. Fruity Inspiration
Since fruit flavors and colors were key elements in this theme, fruity treats were a natural fit for the dessert table!

4. Festive Toppers
Food picks and toppers are a great way to make any treat feel “party ready”. We used small tissue tassels and printable party flags to dress up the mini strawberry shortcake cupcakes.
5. Creative Serving Dishes
Oversize cocktail-shaped containers filled with blue candy also helped play up the theme. These were large, clear plastic containers (in martini glass and wine glass shapes) with the stems spray painted rose gold. For the finishing touch, I hot glued a printable cocktail garnish to each one!
