DIY Bridal Shower Centerpiece with Paper Flowers

Earlier this summer, Jacque made some DIY centerpieces and decorations for her friend’s pink and gold bridal shower that turned out so super cute and are also budget-friendly (yay!). She wasn’t able to photograph the party, so I asked her to bring one of the centerpieces in afterwards so we could still share it with you guys. That’s one of them above, in case you were wondering. ;)  And the flowers are made out of coffee filters – how awesome is that?!

She also incorporated some of the elements from my Confetti Bridal Shower paper collection into the party, so we decided to set up a little post-party inspiration gallery to highlight some of our favorite DIY party decor tips & tricks that work for all sorts of occasions. Here goes!

If you’ve followed HWTM for a while, chances are good that you’re very familiar with the good ol’ $0.99 Ikea Tolsby frame. The ones pictured here are dressed up for the occasion with gold spray painted bases + a band of glitter tape.

Photos are the perfect way to personalize any event! We just added a few pieces of tissue confetti + a party circle to make this everyday gold frame (above) match the party’s confetti theme.

Super simple tablescape idea pictured above. The gold chevron paper roll from Paper Source is one of my favorite DIY table runners and pops up quite a bit around here too! The plain white centerpiece box was transformed with patterned paper & party circles from the Confetti Bridal collection + glitter tape, washi tape, and baker’s twine. You can tailor this look to any party by switching up the design of the embellishments!

Speaking of transforming things, this plain white frame got a major makeover with a few strips of glitter tape:

Pictured below: a champagne toast looks even prettier when displayed on a DIY party tray! Transform a simple tray with a decorative paper liner + washi tape + glitter tape:

We also sprayed the bases of plastic champagne glasses gold (the bases are separate from the body of the flutes, so this is easy to accomplish). I added a strip of sticky rhinestones for the finishing touch.

A closer peek at the paper napkin rings. Simple and sweet…

DIY tissue tassels and tassel garlands aren’t necessarily the quickest thing to whip up – but they pack a big punch and are super budget-friendly, so if you’ve got the time to make them, they’re worth it! (And if you don’t have the time, you can always spend a little more and pay someone else to make them.)

Here’s one of our 4×6 party signs displayed on another embellished gift box – this time it’s turned upside down to act as a pedestal though. We also added a little tissue fringe at the top of the box:

Last but not least, here’s a close up peek at one of the party flags. There’s just something about party flags that makes any drink look more fun… the cute printed straws don’t hurt either. ;)

Any tutorial on how to make the center pieces? They are adorable! Where can I find the white gift boxes and gold beads used for the center of the flowers? And about how many flowers in one center piece? Thanks!!

Hi, I am wondering where you purchased the gold sequin/glitter tablecloth? Thanks!

      Hi Aisha –
That’s actually just a couple yards of sequin fabric that I purchased at JoAnn. :) However, I know you can purchase glittered runners and tablecloths at Candy Crush Shop or Koyal Wholesale. Good luck!
