PARTY DETAILS, as told by Rachel…
Victoria and I have been best friends for a long time–and the last five years we’ve also been partners in our side biz, RV Parties. Together we sell party invites and decor and style parties–so when it came time to host her bridal shower, I was ready to pull out all the stops!
We never did come up with a concise way to describe the theme–it was basically all our favorite things. Black and white stripes, glittery gold and bright confetti. I tried so hard to hide all the details from her so she’d be surprised when she showed up! We held the party at the Anecdotally Yours studio in Kansas City, and Erica, the owner was kind enough to photograph all the details for us.
The studio has gorgeous, big windows that we filled with garlands of confetti and a few engagement pictures in black and white. The coffee table in the sitting area had favors for everyone–cookie cutters with silly hashtags–and a photo guestbook full of photos friends and family had sent to me ahead of time.
We had three big tables set up–a mimosa bar, a charcuterie spread and a sweets table. It was so fun to come up with three different looks for them that all fit the theme. The sweets table was so fun–I had been dying to use a gold table cloth and love the confetti garland and tissue paper garland in front of it! I can’t get enough of the mega confetti balloons! Sadly, one of them didn’t make it, so we had to make do with just one. We found some Oreos with sprinkles in them–too perfect! We basically put our custom mix of sprinkles on everything we could–you can’t ever have enough!
I think I spent most of the party eating cheese at the charcuterie table–it was also so tasty, and like the glittery banner said, it was time to TREAT YO SELF. The mimosa table was a favorite as well. I just love the way everything looked on the black and white striped table cloth. We threw some gold confetti on top and garlands on the front–lots of color and sparkle! I had also been waiting for an opportunity to use the gold balloon letters and love them here. It was such a delight to get to style a party with all the things that I (and the guest of honor!) love.
We set up a few high top tables in the back near our adorable chalk board for guests to chat at while they snacked. I love every detail of them–the bright confetti, the lovely flowers arranged by one of the guests and all the gold.
