a super cool green and black science experiment 6th birthday party

Alexis Turner of Sugar Sweet hypothesized that her son would love this Science Experiment Birthday Party, and I think we can all agree that she was spot on! I love how the radioactive green & black color palette plus the use of dry ice really brings this party to life. The science-filled chalkboard backdrop brings me right back to high school Chemistry, only I wish we got to do these kinds of awesome experiments! ;)

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

  • Hazardous nuclear waste that seems to be attracting all sorts & periodic element cookies
  • The coolest periodic table cake topped with bubbling beakers + petri dishes of slimy gummy worms
  • Doctor play set party favors, including candy-filled syringes and happy little capsule pens
  • ‘Mad Doctor Formula,’ which has 110% of your daily toxins intake (70% of which comes from Monster Breath)

PARTY DETAILS as told by Alexis

My son Romayne recently had his 7th birthday and as he loves science, he had requested a science party even before his 6th birthday! His favorite colors at the moment are black and lime green, so Spaceships and Laser Beam’s Mad Science party printables matched perfectly.

Upon arrival, guests were all given identification name tags and safety glasses to wear. The kids (AND parents) were entertained with a science demonstration and then a hands on workshop where they made and decorated their own little rockets before making rocket fuel and launching them!

After the chocolate mud cake, the kids ate sweets such as petri dish jellies, test tube jelly beans, periodic table cookies, macarons, chocolate bars, sixlets and gumballs. Party favors included test tubes, slime, candy filled syringes, capsule pens, magnifying glasses and more.

Love it. I clicked over to Paper & Cake for the printables, but they had different ones there for their Mad Scientist theme. Where are yours from please?
